This competition awards multiple $500 prizes to students who can write and articulate their passion, understanding and research about an unsolved problem. No solutions allowed. Just problems. September 26th, 2022

This competition provides a unique opportunity for students of all disciplines to form teams and develop their unique ideas into viable business concepts. This is a hands-on experience in which students perform customer discovery to better understand the problem they are solving. Top teams are awarded $1,000 each and become eligible for the Best of the Best prize of $5,000 at the end of the year. Made possible by Rensselaer alumnus, business and social entrepreneur, Sean O'Sullivan.

November 10th, 2022

The Change the World Challenge will award up to $10K in prizes to students who can best share their journey toward product-market fit. Sharing an unsolved problem, their work to validate a need in the market as well as a suited solution is what it takes to win over the judges. Spectators are encouraged for this live in-person pitch event.
